Clinical nutrition for gut health, hormones, blood sugar, fatigue, and long-term wellness built around Indian food, real life, and your body’s patterns.

Most people who come to me are not lacking discipline.

They have tried the diets. Followed the advice. Made the changes. Yet they still do not feel the way they expected to feel.

What they often need is not another strict plan.

They need a clearer understanding of why their body responds the way it does.

I work with individuals who are ready to move beyond trial and error toward nutrition that is grounded in physiology, adapted to real life, and built to last.

About Shivani

About Shivani

I am a Clinical Dietitian with over 15 years of experience in foods and nutrition.

I hold a Master’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, and completed clinical training at the Dietetics Department, AIIMS New Delhi.

My work began in clinical settings, where I supported patients with complex therapeutic nutrition needs including oncology nutrition, in-patient diet planning, and nutritional support for immune-compromised individuals. That foundation shaped how I understand the body. It also taught me that nutrition rarely works when it is reduced to calories, charts, or isolated symptoms. The body responds to patterns, context, timing, stress, sleep, food quality, and consistency.

I do not see the body as a collection of symptoms to manage. I see it as a system to understand.

Over the years, I have worked with hundreds of individuals across multiple life stages, from babies and growing children to adolescents, adults, and seniors dealing with gut distress, hormonal imbalance, metabolic concerns, weight challenges, fatigue, and lifestyle-related health concerns. While their health concerns may differ, one pattern remains consistent: meaningful and lasting change becomes possible when people understand the signals their body is giving them and learn how to respond to them with clarity and consistency.

I have also worked with individual clients from India’s pharmaceutical, food, and healthcare sectors, where sustained energy, cognitive performance, and long-term health directly affect daily work performance.

One thing has become clear again and again across 15 years of practice:

The same dietary principle does not produce the same outcome in every person. Biology is individual. Life context is individual. Any nutrition approach that ignores this will eventually stop working.

Today, my practice is built on one core belief: sustainable wellness is built through understanding, not restriction.

I am the Co-Founder of IntuiWell, a wellness initiative that integrates nutrition and mindset into one cohesive, personalized program.

At IntuiWell, I lead the Nutrition & Diet Program across nutrition-led health tracks.

My Point of View

Most people do not fail diets because they lack discipline.

They fail because the plan ignores their biology, culture, kitchen, schedule, stress, sleep, medical history, and emotional relationship with food.

That is why I work with patterns first.

Before changing what you eat, we need to understand what your body is already showing you.

When these signals are studied together, nutrition becomes clearer.

You stop guessing. You stop jumping from one plan to another. You start building a way of eating that works with your body instead of against it.

The Signal-to-Plan Method

Every person who works with me starts with the same foundation: understanding before prescription.

1

Signals
We begin by understanding your symptoms, energy, digestion, cravings, sleep, mood, menstrual patterns where relevant, health history, and current concerns. The goal is to listen to what your body is already showing before changing anything.

2

Patterns
We then study your eating patterns, meal timing, food combinations, kitchen habits, stress levels, work routine, travel, sleep, and recovery. This helps identify what is repeatedly affecting your body, not just what happened once.

3

Physiology
Where relevant, we look at what the body's internal signals may be revealing through lab markers, metabolic function, gut health, hormonal health, blood sugar response, and nutritional status. This is where we move beyond surface-level advice into root-cause oriented clarity.

4

Plan
Your plan is then built around your body, your goals, your food preferences, your kitchen, and your real life using the Balanced-Plate Blueprint, a practical meal-structuring framework designed specifically for Indian eating patterns. It is not a replacement lifestyle. It is a nutrition system that fits into the life you already live.

5

Review
Health is not static. Your plan should not be static either. We review how your body responds, adjust what needs to change, and refine the plan over time. This is where lasting change happens, not in the first plan, but in the right iterations.

Approach & Philosophy

Health is shaped more by patterns than by single choices. Most health challenges are not created by a single meal, a single habit, or a single decision. They are shaped by patterns that develop over time — which is why lasting change often requires understanding the pattern before trying to change it.

Understanding over restriction

The goal is not to eliminate foods or create fear around eating. It is to understand how different foods interact with your physiology so you can make informed choices that feel sustainable, not forced, not temporary, not punishing.

Sustainability over intensity

The most sustainable changes are the ones that fit your actual life. Your schedule. Your kitchen. Your family meals. Your preferences. Your stress levels. Intensity fades. Sustainability compounds. A plan that works at 70% consistently outperforms a perfect plan followed for two weeks.

Awareness over perfection

Consistency built on self-awareness outperforms consistency built on willpower. When you understand why your body responds a certain way, you have something genuinely useful to work with. Perfection only creates pressure.

WHAT I DON'T DO

What I Don't Do

My work starts with understanding your body. Then we build a plan that can hold in real life.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You May Be in the Right Place If..

You have tried multiple diets or wellness approaches but cannot maintain consistent results.

You are dealing with PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, IBS, perimenopause, menopause, metabolic concerns, blood sugar issues, gut discomfort, fatigue, or weight challenges and want nutritional guidance that goes beyond generic advice.

You are looking for nutritional support for your child, adolescent, infant, or an elderly parent, across any stage of life.

You feel like something is off with your energy, digestion, hormones, mood, or weight but have not been able to get clear answers.

You have been told your labs are “normal” but you still do not feel well.

You are tired of one-size-fits-all programs and want a plan that accounts for who you are, how you live, and what your body specifically needs.

You want nutrition that works with Indian food, family meals, work schedules, travel, stress, and real-life disruption.

You are looking for clarity, not another restrictive diet plan.

You do not need more motivation. You need more clarity.

Start with Clarity

You do not need to commit to a long program before understanding what your body may be trying to show you.

In your first consultation, we review your symptoms, food patterns, lifestyle, health history, and goals. The aim is to understand what may be driving your current concerns and what direction your nutrition plan should take.

You leave with clearer next steps, not another generic diet chart.

This is a good starting point if you are dealing with gut issues, hormonal concerns, blood sugar fluctuations, fatigue, weight challenges, child nutrition, senior nutrition, or confusion around what to eat.

Areas of Focus

My clinical work spans a wide range of nutrition and lifestyle concerns across multiple life stages. These are the areas where I have significant clinical experience.

CORE CLINICAL FOCUS
Gut Health & Digestion

Support for chronic bloating, acidity, IBS, constipation, irregular digestion, food sensitivity patterns, and gut imbalance. The focus is to understand the gut as a system, not manage symptoms in isolation.

Hormonal Wellness

Nutrition guidance for PCOS, thyroid concerns, subclinical thyroid dysfunction, Hashimoto's, perimenopause, menopause, and fertility-related nutrition. The goal is to support hormonal health through food, lifestyle, lab awareness, and sustainable routines.

Metabolic Health & Blood Sugar

Support for blood sugar management, insulin sensitivity, Type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, high cholesterol, and glycemic health built around real Indian food, not clinical replacement diets.

Weight Management

Sustainable weight management without elimination diets, meal replacements, or extreme restriction. The focus is on understanding what may be driving weight gain or plateau, whether hormonal, metabolic, behavioural, or dietary, and addressing that pattern with a plan that can be maintained in real life.

Women's Health

Nutrition through life transitions including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause. Specific focus on iron status, bone health, energy, and hormonal shifts at each stage.

Fatigue & Energy

Persistent fatigue, brain fog, and low energy often have nutritional, metabolic, sleep, stress, or deficiency-related roots. The focus is to identify the pattern and build targeted food and lifestyle changes around it.

LIFE-STAGE NUTRITION
Infant & Baby Nutrition

Nutritional guidance for the earliest life stage, from complementary feeding introduction through the first years of solid food. Includes age-appropriate food textures, allergen introduction, iron-rich weaning foods, and building a diverse palate through Indian food traditions.

Children's & Adolescent Nutrition

Nutritional support for growing children and adolescents covering healthy growth, picky eating, nutritional deficiencies, school performance, sports nutrition, and long-term food habits. Parental guidance is central because lasting change in a child's nutrition often requires the whole family to understand the pattern.

Senior Citizen Nutrition

As the body ages, nutritional needs shift. Protein needs, digestion, appetite, absorption, bone health, muscle health, and deficiency risk all need closer attention. Support for seniors managing these transitions alongside diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, and age-related lifestyle concerns using practical Indian food approaches.

Preventive Nutrition

For individuals who are well today and want to stay that way. The focus is to build a nutritional foundation that supports long-term health, energy, cognition, digestion, and metabolic function across the years.

BEHAVIOR & LIFESTYLE SUPPORT
Mind-Body Balance

Food affects sleep, stress, mood, energy, and mental clarity. Stress and sleep also affect digestion, cravings, hormones, and metabolism. This area focuses on the two-way connection between nutrition and mental well-being.

Sustainable Habit Formation

Nutrition works only when habits hold under pressure, stress, travel, family events, festivals, work demands, and inconsistent schedules. This area focuses on building food routines that survive real life without needing willpower every single day.

Published Works

These guides were developed from clinical experience and designed specifically for the Indian context. Much of the mainstream nutrition literature does not fully account for how we eat, cook, combine foods, celebrate festivals, travel, work, or manage family meals in India. Each guide is available through Amazon KDP, Gumroad, and the IntuiWell Library.

What Clients Experience

Client-reported experiences. Individual results vary based on health condition, medical history, consistency, lifestyle context, and clinical needs.

“Someone finally explained what was happening in my body.”

After years of managing my PCOS through medication alone, working with Shivani was the first time someone actually explained what was happening in my body and what I could do about it through food.

— Payal Sareen, 35

“The bloating I had accepted as normal reduced significantly.”

My digestion had been a problem for years. Within six weeks of following Shivani’s gut reset approach, the bloating I had accepted as normal was almost completely gone.

— Anuradha, 44

“I came for weight loss. I left with a better relationship with food.”

I came in wanting to lose weight. What I got was a completely different relationship with how I eat, and the weight followed naturally. That is not what I expected — but it is far better.

Co-Founder at IntuiWell

Co-Founder at IntuiWell

IntuiWell is a wellness initiative I co-founded with Vallabh Chitnis; built on a simple conviction:

Nutrition and mindset are not separate.

What you eat affects your energy, mood, sleep, focus, confidence, and consistency. How you think, feel, and live also affects your cravings, digestion, food choices, recovery, and ability to follow a plan. This is why many wellness programs do not hold; they solve only one side of the equation.

At IntuiWell, I lead the Nutrition & Diet Program. Our programs are built around personalization, root-cause clarity, Indian food, practical systems, and real-life sustainability. Not templates. Not supplement dependency. Not quick fixes.

IntuiWell programs support multiple life stages, from infant and children’s nutrition to adult metabolic health and senior care.

Frequently Asked Questions

A dietitian typically has formal education in food, nutrition, or dietetics, and may also have clinical training or hospital-based exposure depending on the qualification path. A nutritionist may have a wide range of qualifications, from formal academic degrees to shorter certification programs. I am a Clinical Dietitian with a Master’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition from MPUAT, Udaipur, and clinical training at AIIMS New Delhi. My work is grounded in clinical nutrition, therapeutic nutrition principles, food science, and real-life dietary application.

I work across multiple life stages, from complementary feeding for babies and infant nutrition to children’s and adolescent nutrition, adult health concerns, and senior citizen nutrition. Nutritional needs change significantly at each stage, and my clinical training and practice covers this broad spectrum.

Yes. Consultations are available online for individuals across India and internationally. Geography is not a barrier.

My areas of clinical focus include: gut health (bloating, IBS, acidity, constipation), hormonal conditions (PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, perimenopause, menopause, fertility), metabolic health (diabetes, prediabetes, insulin resistance, high cholesterol), weight management, women’s health across life stages (pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause), children’s and adolescent nutrition, infant and baby nutrition, senior citizen nutrition, persistent fatigue and brain fog, and preventive nutrition. For medical diagnosis, medication changes, or acute medical concerns, I recommend working with a qualified doctor alongside nutrition support.

A standard diet plan usually starts with a goal:  weight loss, sugar control, acidity management and applies a similar structure to many people with that goal. My approach starts with the individual. Using the Signal-to-Plan Method, I assess your symptoms, lab markers where relevant, eating patterns, kitchen habits, routine, stress, sleep, and medical history before any plan is designed. The plan is built from that picture. It also evolves as your body responds, rather than staying static while your life changes around it.

This depends on the condition, the individual, and what “results” means. For gut-related complaints, some clients report noticeable changes in digestion and energy within three to six weeks of consistent dietary shifts. For hormonal conditions like PCOS or thyroid dysfunction, change often takes three to six months because the underlying patterns take time to shift. For blood sugar and metabolic health, some people notice improvement in energy and post-meal response within four to six weeks. The goal is sustainable change that holds, not the fastest possible outcome.

No. Every plan I design is built around real Indian food, ingredients already in Indian kitchens and cooking traditions already familiar to Indian families. I do not recommend meal replacements, proprietary supplements, or expensive specialty products as the foundation of a nutrition plan. If supplementation is clinically warranted based on symptoms, lab markers, or medical context, I explain why and recommend appropriate medical guidance where required.

Yes, in many cases nutrition and lifestyle patterns can still make a meaningful difference. Lab reports are useful, but they do not always explain energy levels, digestion quality, cravings, sleep, bloating, mood shifts, or daily food response. This is why I study symptoms, routines, food patterns, and body signals alongside lab markers to find the pattern that explains how you feel, not just what the numbers show.

Yes, but I do not treat weight loss as a stand-alone problem. Weight is often connected with sleep quality, hormonal function, blood sugar patterns, digestion, stress, food timing, appetite regulation, and daily routine. The focus is to improve the system behind the weight, not reduce calories mechanically. When the underlying patterns begin to shift, weight may start responding more sustainably.

Yes. I work with corporate clients, professional groups, and wellness programs through consultations, workshops, employee wellness sessions, and community health initiatives. I have also worked with individual clients from India’s pharmaceutical, food, and healthcare sectors, where sustained energy, cognitive performance, and long-term health directly affect daily work performance.
